J. B. Ochs, 87, formerly of Great Bend; died Thursday afternoon at the Siesta Rest Home, Stafford, after a long illness. Born Feb 9, 1883, at Otis, he was a farmer, later moving to Great Bend in 1925. He was a maintenance man at the Zarah Hotel for many years
He is survived by one son Willis J , Rt 1, Great Bend; two daughters Mrs Ray ( Leona) Humphrey, Hoisington, and Mrs W. B. (Anita) Evans, St George, Kan; one brother, Dave Ochs, Fort Morgan, Colo., nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday at the Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington, with the Rev R. J. Gotschall officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home 4 to 9 pm Friday, 9 am until service time Saturday.
