Kirch G. Heckathorn, May 2, 1902 -June 14, 1999, Kirch G. HECKATHORN, 97, Nyona Lake, died 5:35 p.m. Monday at ExtendaCare, Rochester. Born to Henry and Cora HARTMAN HECKATHORN in Fulton County, he married Aletha ROSS. He later married Ethel LUND. Both preceded in death. On Sept. 14, 1984 he married Gloria J. FOUST KRISE. She survives. Mr. Heckathorn retired from Sealed Power, Rochester in 1966, operated an auto garage in Fulton for many years, and ran a lawn mower shop at his residence after retirement. He was a lifetime member of Rochester Eagles Lodge, a member of Rochester Moose Lodge, and auxiliary member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He attended Fulton United Methodist Church in Fulton. Survivors include two sons, Bill and wife Linda HECKATHORN, Marysville, Tenn., and Robert HECKATHORN and friend Cindy McCLURE, Buchanan, Mich.; one sister, Goldie BRIGGS, Rochester; one brother, Kenneth and wife Mary Jane HECKATHORN, Monon; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Wensil HECKATHORN, two sisters, Alta OLMSTEAD and Edna PRATT, and one brother, Lester HECKATHORN. Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Family Funeral Home, Fulton, with Rev. George HAPNER officiating. Burial will be in Fulton Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and one prior to services Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Fulton United Methodist Church or American Lung Association.
