Cecil T. Oxley, 71, Robinson, died at 5:55 a.m. today at Crawford Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born in Porterville July 22, 1913, the son of Albert and Goldie Jackson Oxley. He married in 1934 to Maurice Mills
He retired from Marathon Oil Co. after managing the lube oil warehouse for 33 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Robinson, Masonic 250 A.F. & A.M., Valley of Danville, Ainad Temple Valley of St. Louis, Loyal Order of the Moose and B.P.O. Elks.
He is survived by his wife, his mother, two sons and daughter-in-law, John and Nancy of Platteville, WI and Larry of Robinson; one granddaughter, Laura; one brother, Charles; one sister, Mrs. Irene Voght of Huntington, Ind; one niece, Mrs. Gene (Sue) King of Robinson; and several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Madeline York.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson with the Rev. Chester O'Neal officiating. Burial will follow at the Robinson New Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
