Mrs. Madeline B. York, 57, Oblong Route 3, died Tuesday afternoon at Crawford Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was born in Crawford County March 6, 1919, daughter of Albert and Goldie Jackson Oxley. She was a member of West Christian Church, Porterville.

Mrs. York is survived by her husband, Darwin; a daughter, Mrs. Gene (Marilyn Sue) King, Oblong; two grandchildren, Randy and Penny King; her mother, Mrs. Goldie Oxley, Robinson; two brothers, Cecil Oxley, Robinson and Charles Oxley, Glen Ellyn; a sister, Mrs. Damon (Irene) Voght, Huntington, Ind; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, with Rev. Merrill Hershberger officiating. Burial will follow in Hardinville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.

It was suggested by the family that honorariums be made to the Cancer Fund and left at the funeral home.
