William Troy Lane, 93, of Wilder, Idaho, died February 5, 2000 at a Caldwell hospital. He was born January 17, 1907 at Pettigrew, the son of Andrew Jackson and Martha Smith Lane. He taught school in Pettigrew and Boston before moving to Idaho during the Depression. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Taft, Cannon, Clifton and Clinton and one sister, Tressa.

Survivors include: his wife of 72 years, Bertha, to whom he was married on December 6, 1927 in Boston, Arkansas; three daughters, Wanda Matteson of Homedale, Imogene (Paul) Emerson of Riverside and Aileen (John) Landa of Park Rapids, Minnesota; his brother, John S. Lane of Brewster, Washington; three sisters, Alta Choate and Olive Choate of La Habra, California and Trella Bryant of Rockport, Missouri; eleven grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held February 8, 2000 at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Homedale, Idaho. Interment was at the Marsing Homedale Cemetery following the service.
