Mrs. Tresie Mae Porter, 88, of HC 66, Box 47, Witter, Ark., died Jan. 6, 1992, at the Huntsville Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 13, 1903, at Boston, Ark., the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Martha Smith Lane. She was a homemaker and a member of the Victory Freewill Baptist Church in Springdale. She was the widow of Beecher G. Porter, who preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1966.

Survivors include five sons, Layton Porter and Beecher L. Porter, both of Witter, Lloyd Porter of Elkins, Leslie Porter of La Habra, Calif., and Leon Porter of Yorba Linda, Calif.; four brothers, Troy Lane of Idaho, Russell Lane of Elkins, Clinton Lane of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Silas Lane of Brewster, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. Trella Bryant of Rockport, Mo., Mrs. Olive Choate and Mrs. Alta Choate, both of La Habra, Calif.; 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Barnes officiating. Interment will be in the Cove Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Ben Collins, Dotson Collins, Claud Eaton, Scott Marrs, Porter Bryant, and Jim Bennett.
