The family of Mr. Butterfield was one of the first eight families to pass a winter in town. He md. in Dunstable, Nov. 12, 1761, Hannah Chandler, sister of Col. Moses Chandler, q. v. She was b. in Westford, Mass., Aug. 27, 1742 and d. April 14, 1814.
Ten children --
3. Lydia, b. in Dunstable, Feb. 22, 1771; md., July 14, 1794, Josiah Green; d. Feb. 3, 1851. Lived in Wilton.
