Thelma Ethridge Ray, 95, widow of Sidney F. Ray, died Friday, November 12, 2010 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Ray was born in Andrews on January 24, 1915, a daughter of the late Robert John Ethridge and Sarah Ann Taylor Ethridge. She lived all of her life in the Andrews area. Mrs. Ray was a retired employee of the Container Division of International Paper Company and a member of Piney Forest Baptist Church.
Surviving are: two sons, Elbert O. "Toby" Ray (June) of Greenville and Robbie J. Ray (Glenetta) of Andrews: four grandchildren, Karen Simon of Seneca, Kim Chapman of Greer, and Lanette Watford (Kevin) and Vicki Freeman (Garrett), both of Andrews; and four great-grandchildren, Emily, Michelle, Haleigh, and Lauren.
Funeral services will be two o'clock Monday afternoon, November 15, 2010 at Piney Forest Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Ben P. Walker and the Rev. Laurie McAlpine. Burial will follow in Piney Forest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home Sunday evening, November 14, 2010 from six until eight.
