John McCutchan Tuttle,80, of Craigsville, died in King's Daughter's Hospital Friday (July 22,1983) at 6:30 p.m.
He was born in Greenville Sept. 22,1902, son of Dr.John Brooks and Mary Rebecca (McCutchan) Tuttle.
He was retired from the Lehigh- Portland plant in Craigsville and a member of Craigsville Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his widow Frances (Catt) Tuttle, three sons,Jerry Lee of Port St., Joe,Fla.,William Buchanan of Millboro and John McCutchan Tuttle Jr. of Lyndhurst; two daughters,Mrs.Mary Woodcock of Monks Corner,S.C. and Mrs.Margaret Fultz of Mt.Solon,one brother,William Tuttle of Salem; four sisters,Mrs.Mary Gaylord of Culpeper,Mrs.Margaret Daniel, both of Craigsville, and Mrs.Ella Harnbarger of Hot Springs,13 grandchildren.
A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday in Craigsville Presbyterian Church by the Rev. William Norfleet with burial in Craigsville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Burnett Robertson,Walter Ramsey,John Youell,Nat Farris,John Coffman and Junior Morris.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Craigsville Presbyterian Church.
It is suggested that those desiring may make memorial donations to Craigsville-Augusta Springs Rescue Squad,Craigsville,24430.
The family will receive friends at the residence.There will be no public viewing.
