Last Rites Held For Mrs. Tommie Ward Sun. At Normangee
Mrs. Tommie Ward, age 59 of Normangee, died at the Memorial Hospital in Houston Friday at 11:45 following several weeks illness.
Mrs. Ward, who before her marriage was Miss Tommie Palmer a life-long resident of Normangee, had taught school for a number of years there and was an active member of the Methodist church. She is survived by one son, Phil Ward of Normangee; two sisters, Mrs. Marvin Hunt and Miss Lula Palmer, both of Normangee.
Funeral service was held Sunday at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church conducted by Rev. Carl Brown assisted by Rev. Carl Brown, asssisted by Rev. A. L. Connor of Franklin and Rev. W. B. Wages. Davis Cozart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were F. L. Funderburg, Odis Ellison, Bert L. Nash, Tommy Burke and Jack Ellison
