Ray T. Wells, 36, of Pekin, IL was pronounced dead on arrival at Pekin Memorial Hosptial about 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 1965, of injuries suffered minutes earlier in a one-car accident on Route 29, Pekin.
Mr. Wells was born in McLean County October 13, 1928 to William Sidney Wells and Anna Jeanette Reel Wells. He married Mabel Jean Blackwell in Pekin January ??, 196?.
Surviving besides his wife and parents of Tremont; three daughters, Regina, Ramona and Tina all of Pekin; four brothers, Ernest of East Peoria (Groveland), Willis of Tremont, Donald L. and William S. Wells Jr. both of Pekin; two sisters, Mrs. Delores Otto of North Pekin and Roberta Mae Wells of Tremont.
Mr. Wells was employed by Corn Products Co., as a pipefitter since 1947. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the First Methodist Church.
