Roland W Ott (Whitey), 4640 W Prospect. Appleton, age 56, died early Wednesday morning at St. Elizabeth Hospital following a one week illness.
He was born February 23. 1920 in Forest Junction. He had been an Appleton resident for the past 30 years, and was employed by the Fluor Bros. Construction Company, Oshkosh, for the past 30 years.
He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, the Outagamie Conservation Club, the Becker-Bloedorn-Jensen American Legion Post 126, Brillion, VFW Post 3319, Kaukauna, the Men of St. Bernards and Local 828 of the Cement, Masons and Plasterers. He was a World War II veteran and a recipient of a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
Survivors include his wife, Adeline Probst Ott; five brothers: Roger, Menasha; Harold, Kimberlv; Wallace, DePere; Leo, Brillion; Ray, Seymour; four sisters: Mrs Ralph (Mildred) Huebner, Brillion; Mrs William (Helen) Robison, Brillion; Mrs Medric (Jane) Parkins, Brillion; Shirley Ott, Green Bay. The funeral will be at 9:15 a m. Saturday at the Laemmrich Funeral Home and 10 a m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Appleton, with the Rev. Orville Janssen officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery' Sherwood. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 until 9 p m. Friday, where there will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Friday.
