Mrs. David Bernard Dead
A resident of Pleasant Grove township for 52 years, Mrs. David F. Bernard died last Sunday night. She was 70 years old. Born in Jordan, Fillmore County, she was reared there and since her marriage to Mr. Bernard more than 50 years ago resided on a farm in Pleasant Grove.
Born Miss Alice Goldsmith. Seven children, 6 survive. Vernon, George and Adolph of Rochester, Archie of LeRoy, Richard of Pleasant Grove, Mrs. Frank Bornfleth of St. Charles, Mrs. Mae Baker, died two years ago. Survived by five sisters: Mrs. Lizzie Bernard, Chatfield, Mrs. Carrie Bernard, Pleasant Grove, Mrs. James Anway, Red Wing, Mrs. Thomas Gray, Chatfield, Mrs. Fred Anway of Decorah, Ia. Also 26 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and three brothers, Donald and David of Chatfield and Richard of Decorah, Ia.
Services from the home of Mrs. Lizzie Bernard. Buried Chatfield Tuesday.
