Mrs. Roland Winkel, 49, of 1800 Illinois Ave., New Holstein, died Thursday night at St. Nicholas Hospital, where she had been a patient three weeks.

The former Cledonia Casper was born July 9, 1916, in the Town of Liberty, Manitowoc County, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Casper. She attended the district schools in that area. On July 17, 1948, she was married to Roland Winkel at St. Peter and Paul Catholic church, Kiel. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein; Daughter of Isabella of the parish, and the Germania Society of Kiel.

Survivors are her husband; two sons, Eugene and Gerald of New Holstein; one grandchild; two brothers, Sylvester of R. 1, Kiel, and John of R. 2, Valders; and four sisters, Mrs. Theodore Hartmann and Mrs. Dorothy Broeckert of Kiel, Mrs. Raymond Wickert of Newton, and Mrs. Elmer Schmitt of R. 1, Kiel.
