Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 8. 2001, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M. with burial at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth. Graveside military rights will he accorded by Amvets Post 99, Manitowoc.
He was born Oct. 26, 1922, in Manitowoc, son of the late Anton and Mary Zipperer Kleiber. Richard was a veteran of WWII serving in the 9th Armored Division. On Feb.
15, 1947, he married the former Gloria Reardon at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She preceded him in death Dec. 9, 1985. On April 20, 1990, he married Harriet Vieweger at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Richard was employed as a machinist for Medusa Cement Company for 34 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Northeast Wisconsin Chapter American Ex POWs and the Disabled American Veterans Andrew Miller Chapter 24.
Survivors removed for privacy. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria, a son, John, a brother, John and a sister, Rita.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday (TONIGHT) where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. led by Deacon Robert Drokba.
