Mom was loved by all. Mom was one of the first members of Full Gospel Temple, which was over 50 years ago. She was one of the first members in the Ladies Prayer Band under Elsie Lamb. She was a nannie in the nursery for many years and loved the little ones, and was a helper with the funeral dinners.
Mom was loved by all who knew her and was Aunt Betty to all. Mom also never met a stranger. If she met you the first time, from then on she was your friend and a true friend. But her best friend was Jesus and she tried to let you know that Jesus could be your friend, too.
Mom was a homemaker and one of the best cooks around. All you have to do is ask her nieces and nephews whom she would have dinners for and whom she loved and thought of as her own children. Mom will be missed by many, but she will be reunited with her loved ones in Heaven. We have lost a jewel but Heaven has got a diamond.
We love you Mom.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Baker, and her son, Danny Wayne Baker.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Full Gospel Temple, at the corner of Seventh and High Streets, with Pastor Denny Helton officiating. Burial will follow in Tomlinson Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Full Gospel Temple from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and an hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
Parson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
