Mrs. Otto Kracht, 68, of the Town of Rhine, died at her home Tuesday after a lingering illness.

The former Magdalena Dirks was born Sept. 30, 1898, in the Town of Rhine, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Dirks. She attended district school at Rhine Center. On March 30, 1921, she was married to Otto Kracht in the Town of Rhine. The couple resided there since their marriage. Mrs. Kracht was a member of Zoar United Church of Christ, Town of Rhine, and a member of the auxiliary to the Kupfahl-Meyer-Scheib American Legion Post No. 387, Franklin.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Norbert (Florence) Mallmann of Chilton and Mrs. Eldor (Evelyn) Sass of the Town of Rhine; seven sons, Henry on the homestead, Wallace of Sheboygan, Raymond of Town of Plymouth, Orville of Town of Rhine, Alvin of Town of Meeme, Lester of Town of Greenbush, Palmer of Town of Newton; 20 grandchildren; and one brother, John, of Plymouth. One son preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth, with the Rev. Ernest Gander, pastor of Zoar UCC, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
