MILDRED MUIR

Age 88 of Fruitland, Utah, died September 14, 1999 at Stewart's Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 10, 1911 in Heber City, Utah to Robert David and Sarah Fausett Young. She married Alden W. Muir October 18, 1929 in Fruitland.
Mildred loved to cook and feed people. She worked with Alden farming and other jobs. When they were young marrieds, they lived in a tent near Moon Lake while he worked on the Moon Lake Dam. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, writing poetry, short stories and history. She always had grandchildren and great grandchildren around and often said she has "put kids on the bus for 60 years".
She is survived by her husband, Alden, of Fruitland, four sons and their wives; Joe and Marie Muir, Jack and Shirley Muir, Ron and Florence Muir, all of Fruitland; Ellis and Becky Muir, Duchesne, UT; 15 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; brothers: R. W. Young, Duchesne, UT; Paul Young, Fruitland, UT and sister, Elva Humes, American Fork, Utah.
She was preeced in death by a son and daughter: Lee and Mary Muir; brothers: John Young, Bert Young; sister: Laverna Casper.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 18, 1999 at the Fruitland Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with burial in the Fruitland Cemetery under the direction of the Hullinger-Olpin Mortuary.
