Theophile Bergeron Buried here Monday
Eunice - Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Monday afternoon in St. Anthony's Catholic Church for Theophile Bergeron, 73, who died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday at his home on West Ash Avenue.
Mr. Bergeron, a retired farmer, had been ill for three years, He was born and raised in Ritchie, Acadia Parish, where he farmed for many years.
Burial was in St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home. His seven sons served as pallbearers.
Survivors include his wife, the former Armide Miller; eight children, William, Edward, Lawrence and Will Bergeron of Eunice, Felix of Lake Charles, Phillip of Jennings, Raymond of Tepetate and Mrs. Linus (Mary Bergeron) Manuel of Oberlin.
Also surviving are four brothers and three sisters, Amos Ernest "A.E." Bergeron of Eunice, Lucien & Henry Bergeron of New Orleans, Mrs. Ephraim (Alice Bergeron) Miller, Mrs. Joseph Benjamin (Letisia Bergeron) Francois and Mrs. Adam (Estelle Bergeron) Amy of Eunice, Mrs. Armand (Orena Bergeron) Fuselier of Pasadena, California, 36 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
