Webster Clay Knerr

Webster Clay Knerr, son of Owen and Mary Ann Knerr, was born in Allentown, PA on April 1, 1864.

He was married to Caroline Amelia Krogh December 14, 1891, in Seattle, WA by Rev. N. Hansen. To this union were born seven children.

Mr. Knerr was a marble cutter by trade until 1905 when they settled on a farm three miles northeast of Deer Park, WI. For the last eighteen years he has been making his home with his children. He has been in good health until last November, when he caught a cold which developed in pneumonia. He failed rapidly after that and passed away at the Baldwin Rest Home April 7, 1950, at the age of 86 years. His wife and two sons preceded him in death.

Surviving him are three sons, Owen of Hammond, Indiana, William of Long Beach, CA Victor of Amery, WI: two daughters, Mrs. A.S. Rudesill (Elsie) of Baldwin, WI and Mrs. Stanley Birkel (Alice), of Ellsworth, WI and sixteen grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday from the Skari Funeral Home and from the Deer Park Methodist church. Rev. Anderson of Hammond and Rev. Brown of Deer Park had charge of the services.

Pallbearers were: Carl Thompson, Stanley Fouks, Clarence Anderson, Albert Anderson, Abner Hanson, and Victor Smith friends of the family from Deer Park.

Those from out of town who attended were, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Knerr, Donald and Arlene of Hammond, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. George Karschnia and Dianne of St. Paul and Mrs. Julia Grando of Minneapolis.
