Carrie Amelia Knerr was born in Holand, Norway, January 11. 1871. She came with her parents to America in 1881 and settled in Deer Park, WI.
She was married to Webster Knerr, Dec. 14, 1891, in Seattle, WA, by Rev. N. Hansen. To this union were born seven children, five of whom are living. Until recently the Knerrs lived on their farm 3 miles northeast of here, but because of Mrs. Knerr's poor health they sold the farm and moved to town where they had purchased a home.
While Mrs. Knerr was caring for her little daughter, Alice, she contracted a cold which developed into pneumonia and was sick only 24 hours.
Mrs. Knerr was a good mother, a devoted wife and a cheerful neighbor. She was a good Christian and will be greatly missed in her home and the community. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons: Owen, William and Victor and daughters, Elsie and Alice, her husband and two sisters, Mrs. A. Severson and Mrs. Alexander and one brother Hans Krogh.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the M.E. Church, Rev. Folkestead officiated. The pallbearers were: H.O. Hanson, M.C. Emerson, M. Erickson. C. Amundson, C.S. Anderson and G. Frederic.
