Nova Powell, 84, of Huntington, Arkansas passed away on Friday, August 12, 2011 at her home with many loved ones present. She was a member of the Assembly of God church in Mansfield, Arkansas.
She was born at Prairie View, Arkansas to Ralph Davison and Myrtle Harris. She married Fred Powell in July of 1951.
Nova is survived by her husband of 60 years Fred Powell, one daughter Debora Brooks of Fort Smith, Arkansas, seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by four brothers Bill, Bob, Johnny Harris of Huntington, Arkansas and Dolan Harris of Dutch Mills, two sisters Shirley Walker of Dayton, Arkansas and Diana Horne of Greenwood, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph Davison and Myrtle Harris and one daughter Lenny Gossett.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield with interment in the Huntington Cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Mansfield, Arkansas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 15, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
