Hilpert Services Held Sunday at Altona Church

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Amanda Hilpert, 59. in the Sultzer Funeral home, Wisner. and in the Trinity Lutheran church. Altona. Burial was in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery. Mrs. Hilpert died Thursday at Benthack hospital.

Pallbearers were Emil Reinhardt, H. W. Bergt. W. F. Lueken. August Matthes, Leon Meyer and Arnold Mangels.

Amanda Behrens Hilpert was born November, 1894 and raised in the Altona community. Oct. 1, 1919, she was married to Paul Hilpert. The couple lived on the Behrens farm south at Altona until 1950 when they moved to Altona. Mrs. Hilpert had been an active member of the Trinity church. She had been ill several years and had spent the last three months in the Benthack hospital.

A sister. Rosa Walters [Wolters] preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband; a brother, Albert Behrens, Amherst, Colo., and two sisters. Mrs. Mathilde Pflueger, Portland, Ore. and Mrs. Hennie Stuthmann, Altona.
