Dies Suddenly
Funeral Tuesday
For Local Woman, 83
Mrs. Ruby Cossairt, 83, died suddenly Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at her home on the Boggstown Road.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Murphy Mortuary. Rev. Lewis Wilson will officiate and burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received at the mortuary after 4:00 p.m. today.
Mrs. Cossairt had spent most of her life here and was a partner in the Cossairt Floral Company until the death of her husband, William H. Cossairt, on March 4, 1956. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Ta-Wai-Si Club of Shelbyville. Mrs. Cossairt was born in Little Marion on March 20, 1880, the daughter of John and Jane (DuBois) Sanders.
A son, John Cossairt of R. R. 3, a brother, Homer Sanders of Blue Ridge and five grandchildren survive.
The Cossairt Co. will be closed Tuesday.
