Leona E. Daun, 61, of W4675 CTH , Chilton, died Tuesday, June 15, at Chilton Village Nursing home after a lingering illness.
She was born January 25, 1921 in Charlestown, the daughter of George and Agatha Meyer Heimann. On October 8, 1940, she married Ervin Daun at Charlestown and farmed with her husband in the town of Brothertown.
She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho.
Mrs. Daun is survived by her husband; her mother, Agatha Heimann, of Chilton; two daughters, Mary Jane (Mrs. Harold Schaefer, of Malone, and Jo Anne (Mrs. Thomas ) Tadych of R. 3, Chilton; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Ludwig, R. 1, Chilton, Mrs. Sylvester Weber, New Holstein and Mrs. Richard Schneider, Cary, Ill.; three brothers, Sylvester of Milwaukee, Albert of R. 4, Chilton and Wilfred of Kiel; and four grandchildren. One son, David, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho. Father Paulinus Kraemer will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
