Sidney S. Richardson, 89. of Mt. Olive died Saturday, December 14 at Covington County Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was a retired school teacher and farmer and was an active deacon and member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and the Mt. Olive Baptist Church choir.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 16 at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel and Rev. Foy Killingsworth and Rev. Bert Scott officiating. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery.

He is survived by six sons, T. E. Richardson, Mt Olive; J. M. Richardson, Jackson; S. C. Richardson. Canton; J. Q. Richardson, Trumbull, Conn.; C. C. and T. J. Richardson, both of St. Louis, Mo. and five daughters. Mrs. Zera Moeller, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. C. C. Reed, Magee; Mrs. Paul Pearce, Clinton; Mrs. C. C. Chain, Mt. Olive and Mrs. A. , R. Bridges, Warner Robins, Ga.

Other survivors include sis sisters, Mrs. E. J. Hough, Mt. Olive; Mrs. Harvey Forten-berry, McComb; Mrs. E. S. Flynt, Biloxi; Mrs. E. T. McAlpin, Mrs. A. U. Council and Mrs. G. C Coleman, all of Magee; two brothers, C. S. Richardson, Jackson and T. F. Richardson, Talors. S. C; 32 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
