Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Flynt, 82, a resident of 1201 College St., Handsboro, died Monday morning at Howard Memorial Hospital at Biloxi, where she had been a patient one week.

She was born in Magee and was a resident of the Coast since 1929. She was the wife of the late Ernest S. Flynt, a Baptist minister. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Biloxi and was active in church work 60 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star at Coldwater.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John Bergin of Fontainebleu and Mrs. R. B. Sumrall of Handsboro; two brothers, Tom Richardson of South Carolina and Coley Richardson of Jackson; five sisters, Mrs. E.J. (Lizzie) Hough, Mrs. E.T. (Emma) McAlpin, Mrs. A.U. (Terry) Council and Mrs. J.G. (Rosebell) COleman, all of Magee, and Mrs. Harvey (Annie) Fortenberry of McComb; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home at Biloxi, with the Rev. Frank Gunn, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery in Handsboro.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday.
