Elza "Joe" Kidd, 63
Elza "Joe" Kidd, 63, of Waynesburg, died Tuesday, July 7 at his home.
A native of Lincoln County, he was born July 10, 1945, to the late Elderberry Kidd and Smarie Carpenter Kidd. He was a farmer and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Hinds Kidd of Waynesburg; a son, Scotty Kidd of Stanford; three daughters, Janet Marie Kidd, Sandra Kidd and Laurie Long all of Waynesburg; four brothers, James Kidd of Waynesburg, Bobby Jones of Georgetown, Sherman Jones of West Liberty and Charles Ragan of Mississippi; four sisters, Lela Cherry of Charlestown, Ind., Sue Blanton of Crab Orchard, Faye Kidd of Harrodsburg, and Rosie Swope of Bryantsville; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today (July 9) at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford with Bro. Bert Hall officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Dustin Goode, Josh Kidd, Matthew McCarty, Chris Kidd, Corey Goode and Jimmy Baker, Jr.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to American Cancer Association.
