Gerald 'Jerry' Talbott, Oct. 6, 1932 - Dec. 27, 2011, Gerald "Jerry" Talbott, 79, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday.
Born on Oct. 6, 1932, in Union Township, he was the son of Maurice and Helen (Weller) Talbott. Jerry graduated from Kewanna High School in 1950 and married Anna Jester. He worked as a factory worker and farmer. Jerry was a member of Rochester First Baptist Church in Rochester and was an avid IU and Cubs fan. He also wintered in Florida for 16 years. Mr. Talbott was a United States Army veteran.
Surviving him are his wife, Anna Talbott, of Greenfield; daughter, Barbara (Bernie) Campbell, of Greenfield; grandchildren, Anne Lorenzano, Sarah (Jarrod) Lawrence, Nathan Campbell and Kevin Campbell; and great-granddaughter, Mimi Margaret Lawrence.
He was preceded in death by his son, David Talbott. Gerald also had eight siblings including Lois (Carl) Miller, Joan Riffle and Ronnie (Leona) Talbott, who preceded him in death. A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Rochester. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Hancock Regional Hospice, 801 N. State St., Greenfield, IN 46140, or to the Rochester First Baptist Church, 1000 Main St., Rochester, IN 46975. The Erlewein Mortuary, Greenfield, is in charge of the arrangements.
