He professed a Faith in Christ and joined the Fellowship Baptist Church, July 5, 1914 where he remained a member. His health had been very bad for a number of years and kept him from taking an active part in church. His last words were to his family to not be afraid, or worry about him, for he was ready to go and he knew his time had come to go. He was loved by all his family and they did what they could for his comfort during his illness. He will be sadly missed by his family and loved ones.
