HULL, J. R. died 4 Aug 1950 HULL, J. R. – Was born Jan. 17, 1856, departed this life August 4, 1950, age 94 years, 6 months and 18 days. He was married to LOUISA JANE GOAD deceased, February 14, 1879. To this union were born 11 children, all living, five boys and six girls, [10 children listed, 7 boys and three girls] WILLIAM HULL, MARGARET BUCK, ARTIE VOILES of Armathwaite, CARRIE BOW of Indian Town, Fla., HORACE, EDDIE and ELMER of Armathwaite and AUDIE VOILES of Shirley, FLOYD CROSS and ROY HULL of Jamestown. He leaves besides the children 70 grandchildren, 99 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. He was saved and joined the Fellowship Baptist Church at Armathwaite August 1874. He lived a long and useful life. He often spoke of his departure, which he felt was near at hand. Said he had no fear of death and said he couldn't understand why he was being held here, unless it was to help some one to live a better life. Funeral services was conducted, by his request, by Rev. L.C. BRIDGES, VIRGIL VOILES and SAM GARRETT. Asleep in Jesus blessed sleep from which none ever wake to weep. Farewell until we meet again.
