The former Ida Ceaglske was born April 3, 1877, in Wauseka, Minn., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Ceaglske. She was married in 1894 to Robert Welk, who died in 1947. She had been a member of the Golden Age Club of Merrill, the Ladies Guild of St. Stephen's Church and a 25-year member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include three sons, Roger Welk, 402 Prospect St., Merrill, Herman Zellmer, 1204 Jackson St., Merrill, and M. Sgt. Vernon Welk, DaNang, Vietnam; two daughters, Mrs. Ole Skare, 428 First St., Wausau, and Mrs. Harold Beltz, Oshkosh; two brothers, Hugo Ceaglske, 204 Cottage St., Merrill, and Adolph Ceaglske, Manitowoc; 18 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
