Walter D. Weaver dies Wednesday in hospital

Walter D. Weaver, 75, 122 North Penn St., Shippensburg, died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, in the Chambersburg Hospital.

Mr. Weaver was born Feb 23, 1898 in Shippensburg, the son of Albert Franklin and Mary Catherine Shoemaker Weaver. A retired Drayman, Mr. Weaver was a member of the Christ United Methoist Church. He was the last of his family.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Hoch Weaver; one daughter, Mrs. Martha Sheaffer, Shippensburg, and one son, Ronald E. Weaver, who is stationed in Hawaii with the U.S. Navy. Two grandchildren also survive.

Services will be Saturday, May 5 at 10 a.m. from the William Barbour Funeral Home, with Rev. Kyle Mcquillen officiating. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
