Jauquet, Francis and Lucille

Francis and Lucille "Ceil" Jauquet, 94 and 89 respectively, Green Bay residents, passed away just 27 days apart. Lucille on Thursday, December 27, 2012, and Francis, on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. She was born January 2, 1923, in the town of Stark, WI to the late William and Frances (Linsmeyer) Kane. Francis was born July 19, 1918 in the town of Preble to the late Frank and Clara (Collard) Jauquet. Lucille graduated from St. Josephs Academy. Francis was a WWII veteran having served in the Army from 1940-1945 in the 60th Field Artillery Battalion. They were married on October 22, 1946, at Holy Martyrs of Gorcum in Green Bay. Together they owned and operated Jauquet's Bar (now known as Pearly Gates). She was also employed by Schreiber Foods and the Visiting Nurses Association. Francis was employed by the city of Green Bay in the street department until his retirement. They helped raise their grandchildren after their son-in-law passed away. Lucille was a 50 year member of the VFW Winiecki Post Womens Auxiliary and Francis was past post commander for the Winiecki Post as well as their Quartermaster for 32 years. They were members of Prince of Peace Catholic Community. Lucille volunteered her time and talents at the Brown County Mental Health Center and Holy Martyrs Church taking care of the floral arrangements around the altar. They both enjoyed reading, bowling, and attending Packer games. Francis took great pride in being the Holy Martyrs Cemetery sexton for 30 years. Several days a week you could find him at Al's Hamburger, eating breakfast with his retired buddies from the city.

Francis and Lucille are survived by their daughter, Barb Hendrickson, Green Bay; two grandchildren; Chad Hendrickson and Lori Hendrickson, Green Bay; Lucille's sister, Margaret "Peg" Kane, Green Bay; Francis' two sisters; Irma Clark, Green Bay and Marcy (Ken) Baumgart, Florence; their sister-in-law, Marian Jauquet, Green Bay; nieces and nephews

They were preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Jauquet; their son-in-law, Dennis Hendrickson; Lucille's three brothers, John, William (Hilda) and Robert (Wilma) Kane; her four sisters, Katherine (Adolph) Herold, Sr. Frances Kane, Sr. Florence Kane and Mary (Urban) Titulaer and her brother-in-law Henry Kane. Francis' three brothers; Ervin (Alice), Walter (Stella) and Hubert Jauquet; Francis' four sisters; Marie (Omar) Christensen, Rita (Al) Goltz, Lucille (Nort) Benjamin and Margaret (Oliver) Tuyls and brother-in-law Kenneth Clark.

Friends may call at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Rd. after 1:30 pm Friday February 1, 2013 until time of Mass. Funeral Mass is scheduled for 3:00 pm Friday at the church with Rev. Ralph Merkatoris officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Martyrs Cemetery. On-line condolences may be sent to the Jauquet family at www.prokowall.com. In lieu of floral expressions a memorial fund has been established in their names.

The family would like to thank the staffs at Bornemann & Odd Fellows Nursing Homes for their excellent care given to Lucille , the staff at Carrington Manor, especially Nikita, Carli, Karin, April and Marilyn who took such good care of Francis, and Patti from Heartland Hospice. Barb would also like to thank her cousins—Colleen Phillips, Kathy Konop, Mary Raleigh, Sherry & Aimee Rentmeester, for all their help over the years. Special thanks to Dad's friends, Marv Van Rite & Bernie DePrey, for their frequent visits.
