Funeral services for Alma L. Perkins, 74, of Needville are scheduled 2 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Needville. The Rev. Richard Avery will officiate, with burial at Needville Public Cemetery.

Mrs. Perkins died Sunday at Polly Ryon Skilled Care Center. She was born Nov. 4, 1917, in Needville. Her parents were F. W. and Matilda Duesterhoft. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce McDougald of Houston; two grandsons, Billy Joe Land of Tomball and James Lee Teel of Austonio; a granddaughter, Sonja Goodwin of Austin; a brother, Henry Duesterhoft of Needville; three sisters, Frieda Engelhardt of Rosenberg, Selma Eversole of Needville, and Mattie Schodek of Richmond; and 10 nieces and 7 nephews.

Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Land, James Lee Teel, Edwin Kueck, Raymond Kueck, Charles Eversole and Wilbert Engelhardt.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Monday at Garmany & Carden Funeral Home in Needville. Services are under the direction of Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors in Needville.
