In failing health for the past three years, Miss Alice Bellinger, direct descendant of Delia Herkimer, sister of Gen. Nicholas Herkimer, commander of the Revolutionary forces in the battle of Oriskany and of Col. Peter Bellinger, who fought in that battle, died in the home of her niece, Mrs. Charles L. Cowan, Onondaga av., Wednesday.
Miss Bellinger was the daughter of the late Joseph and Roxanna Smith Bellinger.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Helen Bellinger Knight of Syracuse and Mrs. Elizabeth Suiter of Herkimer.
Funeral services... burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer.
