Laura Jane Howard was the d/o Joseph Newton and Martha Caroline Debord Howard. She was married to Derias Howard s/o James Clay and Sarah Permelia "Mellie" Howard. They had two sons, Fred Arlington Howard and Ova Howard. Laura and her husband Derias took on the responsibility of raising three of Laura's brother's, Including my father, Jasper, when her parents died. There must be a special place in Heaven for them. Laura was my AUNT.
