Survived by one son, William Abraham,Pontiac: one daughter Karen Weirman, Frankfort, IL; 3 grandchildren, one great-grandson, and two sisters; Verna Weakley, Pekin, IL; and Blanche Sykes,Pontiac, Il.

Ernest E Abraham, 81, of Pontiac, died at 3:15pm Thursday, Sept 7,2000, at ASTA Care Center of Pontiac.

His funeral will be at 2:30pm Saturday at First Lutheran Church, Pastor William J Shields officiatig.

Burial will be in Rowe Cemetery,Rowe.

Friends may call from 12:30PM unti the time of the sercie Saturday at the church. Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

He was born Dec 27, 1918, at Rowe, the son of Edward and Elizabeth (Holzhauer) Abraham. He married Ordella May Atterberry Jan 22,1942, at Rowe. She died June 10,1988.

Surviving are one son, William Abraham, Pontiac; one daughter, Karen Weirman, Frankfort; 3 grandchildren, Chris Weirmab Ginger Kreitz and Ryan Abraham; one great-grandson, Brennan Weirman; and 2 sisters, Verna Weakley, Pekin, and Blanche Sykes,Pontiac.

Mr Abraham attended Rowe School and was a graduate of Pontiac Township High School. He had farmed until 1948.

Mr Abraham was a bus driver and janitor for Owego Grade School for 34 years. For many years he was the multi-township tax assessor for Owego, Avoca and Eppards Point townships. Mr Abraham had also been a seed corn dealer for Edward J Funk Super Cross. Mr Abraham was a member of First Lutheran Church. The family suggests memorials be made to his church.
