WOMAN IS SUNDAY SUICIDE VICTIM
Mrs Harry Acord, 49, farm woman living two and one-half miles south of Montezuma, died Sunday afternoon of self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
Mrs. Acord's husband had left their farm home briefly and returned about 20 minutes later at 4:40 p.m. to find her after she had shot herself. An ambulance was rushed to the scene and Mrs Acord was being taken to an Iowa City hospital when she died.
Her husband informed sheriff William Welsh that she had been in ill health and despondent for some time.
Mrs. Acord is survived by her husband and two daughters.
