Mrs. Elizabeth Templeton, wife of Alex Templeton, died this morning at the family residence on Oak street. The lady's maiden name was Miss Elizabeth Miller, and she was born in Cumberland County, PA Jul 1823 (wrong year). She was married in this state to Mr. Templeton, May 23, 1863. He survives, as do also the following children: John, Marie and Mrs. Edward Bogenrief, of Pear City. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the family residence. Rev. J. D. McCaughtry officiating.

An Esteemed Lady Who Was A Resident of This County for Forty Years
Mrs. Elizabeth Templeton, a much respected lady, died at her residence on Oak street at six o'clock this morning, aged sixty-one years. The cause of her death was liver trouble. The deceased lady was the wife of Alexander Templeton. She has been a resident of this county for forty years, living first at Cedarville. Mr. and Mrs. Templeton came to Freeport about a dozen years ago. She was a sister of Rev. Ephraim Miller, who was pastor of the Lutheran congregation at Cedarville in the fifties.
The funeral will take place from her late residence tomorrow afternoon at three o'clock. Rev. J. D. McCaugthtry, of whose church, the Second Presbyterian, she is a member, will officiate.
