Edward H. "Pat" Berrens, 82, of 60 School St., Chilton, died on Monday, Nov. 16, 1998, at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton.
He was born July 26, 1916 in Stockbridge, a son of the late Edward and Lena (Scherer) Berrens. "Pat" married Leona L. (Krebsbach) Zorn, on Oct. 4, 1947 at St. Joe. She preceded him in death on Sept. 30, 1968.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked at the Aluminum Specialty Co. in Chilton until retiring in 1978. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Chilton and also served as custodian there from 1978 until 1992.
He is survived by six daughters, Debbie (Joe) Dotson, Chilton; Patty (Bernie) Geiser, Chilton; Sharon Zorn, Chilton; Shirley Twining, Neenah; Mary Berrens, Chilton; Deloris Berrens, Chilton; a son-in-law, Karl Bubolz of Reedsville; 24 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gertrude Melchoirs, Appleton and Kathrine (Bill) Forstner, Chilton; two brothers, Gene (Deloris) Berrens, Chilton; and Robert Berrens, Manitowoc.
He was also preceded in death by two daughters, three grandchildren; one great-grandson, and three brothers, Claude, V ; and Art.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Chilton with the Rev. Gary New S.D.S. officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery on Thursday morning at 9 a.m. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
