Edward Berrens Sr.

Edward (Pat) Berrens, Sr., 74, of 301 E. Main St., Chilton, died Tuesday morning at Calumet Memorial Hospital in Chilton after a short illness.

A lifelong resident of Chilton, he was born there on Sept. 28, 1888, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Berrens. He married the former Leona Scherer in September 1914. She died in 1944. Mr. Berrens worked for many years at the Aluminum Specialty Co.

Surviving are six sons, Edward Jr., Eugene, Arthur, and Claude of Chilton, Victor of Appleton and Robert of Manitowoc; two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Forstner, Chilton and Mrs. Gertrude Melchoir, Appleton; 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; three brothers, Peter of Manitowoc, Joseph of Appleton and Carl of Chilton; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Link, Milwaukee and Mrs. Catherine Zechmeister of Saukville.

Funeral services will be held at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, the Rev. Roland Hern, pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.
