Austin B. Hall Dies, Aged 61

Austin B. Hall, 61, of 41 Lime street, husband of Mrs. Margaret McGowan Hall, died at the Anna Jaques hospital yesterday.

He has been a resident of this city many years, and was formerly employed at the Y.M.C.A. He was born in Newfields, N.H.

Besides a wife, Mrs. Margaret McGowan Hall, he leaves five daughters, Miss Margaret Hall, Mrs. Agnes M. Tarbox, Mrs. Winifred A. Carroll, Mrs. Mary E. Corliss and Mrs. Edna J. Finnegan, all of Newburyport; two brothers, Louis C. Hall of Boston, and Edwin Hall, warrant officer in the Navy, stationed at Manila; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Barbagallo, Lawrence and Mrs. Annie Henderson, Ward Hill; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from his late residence, 41 Lime street, Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. with a requiem high mass at the Immaculate Conception church at 9.

Relatives and friends may call between 2 and 10 today at 41 Lime street.

Austin B. Hall Funeral Is Held

The funeral of Austin B. Hall was held from his home, 41 Lime street, at 8:30 a.m. today, with a requiem high mass being celebrated at 9 o'clock in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. The celebrant was Rev. John Murphy of Woburn.

Floral tributes and spiritual offerings were numerous. The church choir, directed by Miss Julia Finnegan, sang Terry's "Requiem Mass." Miss Genevieve Pietrowski was the soloist.

Pallbearers were Howard Washington, Frank Henderson and the following sons-in-law of Mr. Hall: Harold C. Tarbox, Charles Carroll, Norman Corliss and Dennis Finnegan. Burial was in the family lot at St. Mary's cemetery where the Rev. Thomas J. Tobin held the committal service.

The Legion of Mary said the Rosary last night at Mr. Hall's home.
