Born in Bay St. Louis, MS on July 13, 1931 and a current resident of Denham Springs, he died at 10:30 pm on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Carpenter House, just shy of his 81 birthday. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University and later retired from Kaiser Aluminum and Laroche Chemical with combined service of over thirty years. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs from 5:00pm until 9:00pm, with recitation of the rosary at 7:00pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs at 9:30am. Rev. Frank Uter will celebrate a mass of Christian burial at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. He is survived by his son, Mitch Chiniche, two daughters and sons-in-law, Hollie and Dale Lilly, Gwen and Matt Cotton, two brothers, James Chiniche and wife Betty and Ray Chiniche and wife Sharon, sister, Bea Stimmel and husband Toni, six grandchildren, Steven, Kristina and Dianna Lilly, Bryan, Sean and Jacob Cotton, great grandson, Braiden Manning and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Josephine Compretta Chiniche and wife of forty-five years, Patricia Mayer Chiniche. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs and the Knights of Columbus, Council 6326. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus, 304 South Beach Blvd., Bay St. Louis, MS 39520 or to the Immaculate Conception Faith Formation Campaign Fund, 865 Hatchell Lane, Denham Springs, LA 70726.
