Mary A Berrens
Chilton, WI

Mary A. Berrens, age 78, of Chilton, died on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at her home in Chilton.
She was born October 1, 1933 in St. Joe, daughter of the late Sylvester & Leona (Krebsbach) Zorn. She married Art Berrens on November 5, 1949 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Chilton.
The couple owned and operated the Berrens Bakery in Chilton for many years. Art preceded her in death on September 8, 1997. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, formerly St. Augustine Parish, and was devoted to the Perpetual Adoration Chapel. Mary was a sweet and caring woman with a deep and profound faith; throughout her life, many significant trials presented themselves and Mary's faith never waivered. In fact, it was that well rooted faith that carried her into better days and a time which she could give thanks to God for the life He had blessed her with. Mary truly enjoyed every day of retirement, filling her time with latch hook, puzzles, and rooting on the Chicago Cubs; on occasion she would be seen cheering for the Brewers if their victory was of positive impact on her beloved Cubs. She was always looking out for others, making sure that the people in her family were put first in her life. Her granddaughters brought her the greatest joy in life, and Mary treasured each and every moment she was able to spend with them.

She will be fondly remembered, and greatly missed by her children: Linda (Bruce) Sweetman, Lori Brocker; 2 grandchildren: Jessica (Mike) Allison, Leah (Matt Harrer) Sweetman; 2 great-grandchildren: Gabe & Nate; 3 step-grandchildren: Mindy, Steph & Mike; and 3 sisters: Sharon Zorn, Pattie (Bernie) Geiser, and Debbie Dotson. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester & Leona; a step-father: Pat Berrens; a daughter and son-in-law: Louise (Dan) Kastelic; and 3 sisters: Ruthie, Deloris, Gladys, & Shirley.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with the Rev. Bob Kollath officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2012.
