Spaulding died Thursday at the Veteran's Hospital in Denver.
Born Feb. 24, 1918 at Atwood, Kans., Spaulding moved with his parents to the Cassa Community south of Glendo, in 1920. He attended the Glendo schools and worked in a CCC Camp before serving in World War II with the Air Force in Europe.
Spaulding was engaged in ranching near Glendo following his Army discharge.
Spaulding was preceded in death by his father, Dana Spaulding, Sr. and by two brothers, John and Gene.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Nellie Spaulding of the family home; three brothers, Walter of Sheridan, Joe of Cassa and Hugh of North Hollywood, Calif. He is also survived by three sisters, Elva Collins of Glendo, Mary Ann Lindeen of Anchorage, Alaska and June Emerson of Casper. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Burial was at the Wheatland cemetery.
