ILL ONLY ONE WEEK ULRICH BRAASCH IS CALLED BY DEATH
Northwestern Employe Fails to Survive Attack of Pneumonia and
Passes Away at Hospital
After an illness of only one week, Ulrich Braasch, for several years
employed as an operator and ticket agent of the offices of the
Northwestern Railway company in this city, died at the hospital last
night, a victim of pneumonia. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon
at 2 o’clock and will be attended by the Odd Fellows of which deceased
was a member.
Mr. Braasch suffered a severe cold ten days ago which developed into
pneumonia. He was removed to the hospital early in the week and his
condition failed to improve when he passed away last night. Decedent
was born in the town of Newton, November 14, 1875 and entered the
railway service as a youth of twenty. He was employed at stations of
the Northwestern at points in the state and several years ago came to
the local station as operator and ticket agent and was employed here
at the time he was stricken. Mr. Braasch is survived by a widow and
seven children. His father and one brother also survive. He was well
liked and held in esteem by a large circle of friends. The family home
is on South Twentieth street.
