DEATH TAKES YOUNG WIFE AND MOTHER
Mrs. Herman Breuer Passes Away After Brief Illness at Hospital
Seriously ill but three days, although she had been afflicted for some time,
Mrs. Herman Breuer, 913 N. 16th street, passed away at the Holy Family hospital
early last evening, her demise coming as a great shock to family and friends.
Death was due to complications and the end came suddenly and unexpectedly.
Mrs. Breuer, nee Florence Irene Nelson, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nelson,
940 N. Tenth street, was 29 years of age at her death, having been born June 30,
1901 at Sandy Bay. With her parents she came to Manitowoc fifteen years ago and
on December 6, 1923 was married to Mr. Breuer, who is a chemist at the Fischl
company plant. The couple made their home in New York for a time but later
returned here and have resided in the city for several years past.
Leaves Two Children
Previous to her marriage Mrs. Breuer was in the offices of the M. and M. Printing
company. Besides her parents and her husband, two children, Joseph Paul, aged 6
and Dorothy Ann, aged 2, survive, together with two brothers, Oscar and Clarence,
this city, and three sisters, Msr. Roy Houghton, Manitowoc, Mrs. Gerhardt Pape,
Kenosha and Mrs. Carl Jacobs, Grand Rapids, Mich.
Funeral Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. Breuer will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 from
the home of her parents, 940 N. Tenth street, and at 2 from St. Paul's Lutheran
church. The Rev. Walden will officiate.
