ADELAIDE F. CHERNEY

Mrs. Adelaide F. Cherney, 98, formerly of 1433 N. 6th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, at West View Nursing Home, Racine, Wis.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the First Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. The Rev. Arthur Wille will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Cherney was born March 24, 1885, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Max and Josephine Juranek Bonin. She was educated in the Maribel School District. She was employed as a baker at the Manitowoc Motor Hotel, retiring in 1955. She married Vincent Cherney. She was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Marie Cherney of Francis Creek and Alan and Dorothy Cherney of Denver, Colo., a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Steinbrecker of Racine; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lucille Laverenz of Manitowoc; a brother, Mr. John Bonin of San Franciso, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Martha Jana of Manitowoc; a stepbrother, Charles Opichka of Manitowoc; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, a brother, and a grandchild.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the church. There will be no Thursday evening visitation at the funeral home. Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
