ERNST J. EBERHARDT (d. 1927)
FATHER OF FIVE CHILDREN DIES OF PNEUMONIA
Pneumonia claimed the life of Ernest (sic) Julius Eberhardt, 36, of Newton,
father of five small children at the family home yesterday after an illness
of but a few days. Besides his wife, who was Miss Martha Uttecht before her
marriage in 1914, Mr. Eberhardt is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Ernest Eberhardt, Sr., of Newton his grandmother. Mrs. Julius Schroeder of
Valders, a brother, Arthur of Newton and a sister, Mrs. Reinold Raschke of
Valders. The children are one daughter, Edna, aged 6, and four sons,
Herman 11,; Henry, 8; William 5; and Fred, 2;
Mr. Eberhardt was born in Manitowoc Rapids and has lived at Newton since 1898,
working a farm there.
Funeral services will be held Tues. afternoon from the home to the First
Lutheran church, in this city, and burial will take place at Evergreen, the
Rev. Machmiller officiating.
